Menu

Complimentary Potato Chips

Complimentary Bread

Sauce that goes with the bread
Confit and seared foie gras, raisin, ruby grapefruit, hazelnut meringue, brioche

The foie gras is delicious, soft, fresh and flavorful.

Wagyu rump, beef wholegrain marmalade, watercress, shallot

The wagyu ramp ain't high grade, but nevertheless I did enjoy the beef.

Truffle Fries

Pan fried snapper, squid ink risotto, tomato salsa
The squid ink is too overwhelming, maybe is just that I didn't like my rice to be too sticky and covered with sauce.

Complimentary Anniversary Request

Sorbet, crumbs, berries

The sorbet is strawberylicious sweet.

Bread Basket
The breads served are freshly baked from the oven. Though the crust of the bread is tough, this is because this is to preserve the fagrance of the bread, upon cutting, you could see that the inside of the breads are so soft and fluffy

One of the bread has foie gras in there, be sure to try it but sadly, I couldn't really taste the foie gras

This dish is really special, you are supposed to put the whole piece into your mouth. Then you will notice something unexpected. You would feel the warmth that spread in all directions, just try it for yourself!

La Caviar Imp (+ $30)

Lobster (Complimentary)
This is a lobster in the dish! Complimentary from the chef!

Mash Potatoe (Complimentary)
The mash potatoes is so creamy and buttery. I cleaned it off my plate almost immediately, so delicious!

Scallops
Look at the size of the scallop! Big and juicy! Thumbs up for that!

Kagoshima Beef (+ $45)
The Kagoshima beef is an amazing experienced, I have never tasted a beef this juicy, soft and delicious. The salt lightly sprinkled, on the beef greatly enhanced the experience.

Beef Soup
The beef soup comes with the delicious kagoshima beef! They explained that it should be taken after finishing the main course (which is the beef of course!)

Lemon Sorbet
After your main course, they would push the ice-cream push cart towards your table. Take your pick on the different ice cream that is available!

Mango Dessert

Anniversary Surprise

Coffee
Enjoying a cup of coffee while waiting for the bill to arrive.

Conclusion:
I would say this 3* Michelin restaurant is definitely a must go.
I order a 4 course meal ($148/pax), and the total bill came up to approximately $461.38 for 2. Talk about a huge dent in the pockets!

Eggs & Truffle Mousseline $4/Egg

This is the best eggs I have ever come across! The steam eggs topped with caviar moreover with the truffle drizzled the scent is just amazing! You definitely couldn't get enough of this. Every spoonful of the eggs makes you go craving for more.

Ocean Crab Pasta $18

On the first look this dish doesn't look amazing, the crab sauce isn't generously drizzled on the pasta. On the first bite its actually better than it look! The sauce is amazing but close to the end of the dish, I found the dish a little boring and do not find it flavorful anymore but just forcing myself to gobble down the food.

Duck Confit $25

The duck confit isn't found on the menu itself but its the 'special of the day'. The salad where the confit is resting on is extremely good! Its definitely one of the most impressing salad that I have eaten. The duck confit which is supposedly to be the hero of the dish ain't up to expectation but nevertheless its still good.

Emmanuel French Kitchen
This place is a gem under a void deck, the coffee shop had been revamped from a traditional coffee shop to a modern cafe. Which in turn meant, no service charge!

Waiting For Order..
Coupled with being a modern cafe, they too provide a 'caller' that vibrates while they try to whip out the dishes.

Kakuni Pork Belly $16.90 (Signature)
Scanning through the menu, I noticed the that this is the signature dish and without any hesitation, this order was placed. The pork belly is extremely tender and the sauce used to marinate it tasted like the char siew you could get from a ramen outlet, but trust me this is way better than your average pork belly. Coupled with an egg and unique sauce that they come up with, it is heavenly.

Instead of having the idea that this is a french cuisine, this is more like a fusion of japanese and french. As I have said, fusion causes confusion but this is an exception.

Houjicha Pancake $13.80
I actually had high expectation for this, but it was quite disappointing, the pancake is taste-less, and the mochi is taste-less, practically the whole pancake was taste-less besides for the houjicha whip cream, which has the slight houjicha flavour in i.

Souffle Au Curry $17.80
The Souffle Au Curry is covered with egg white and when attemping to eat the ingredients in the Souffle, is like finding a needle in a haystack. It is really difficult to eat the main ingredients with all the egg whites all over it. Moreover, because of the thickness of the egg whites, eating them to get rid of all of it will get you very disgusted.

Fusion causes confusion
